can I get Cortana box dark but Explorer light?

The other day my Windows "upgraded" to ver 1809 (build 17763.253).

After the installation MS applications were all in dark theme. I
prefer Explorer to be in light theme. But when I go to settings and
personalization and change to light theme then the Cortana box becomes
white (or whitish).

I would prefer Cortana box be dark while Explorer is light.

Without messing with the Registry is this something doable and how?

thanks

MS are talking about dropping Cortana from Windows:

big update and it'll probably disappear altogether! :^)
