WMM2 Locks Up While Editing Video

I purchased an HP Media Center System, P4, 2.5Ghz system with 1Gig of RAM, and 120G HD

The WMM2 seems to work ok, capture and playback worked great. Its when I started dropping in transisitons, titles, etc... that tthings fell apart. The more I edited the video the more it locks up. It got so bad that each time I added an affect I had to
save the project. This was only after about 4-5 affects. I stopped at about 8 affects. File size was about 52M.

I reloaded the WMM2 drivers, but no better.

This was very disappointing, since I spent $1K on the his thing and it half-ass works!

Any suggestions from Microsoft on how to fix this issue? Surely, this thing has enough memory!

Thanks,
Larry
