Windows Update Problems

I go to the Microsoft Update site and start to download
the updates that it tells me I need for my computer and
it says they are being downloaded but when it gets to the
end it never ever starts to install them. I wait
patiently but it never ever installs them, so what can I
do to download and install the updates.

Please email me with "Microsoft Updates Problem" in the
subject line

Thanks
Zackery

Windows Update Problems

Hi, I'm having the same problem. Most of the responses
on this board have been "check the microsoft
troubleshooting page"...Well, I did that first, looked
everywhere on microsofts site and couldnt find the answer
to this particular problem. One issue seems to be that if
you have AOL, you shouldn't use AOL to get the updates,
use Internet Explorer instead.
I was able to find the updates downloaded on my PC even
thought they never installed. I manually installed the
blaster worm fix (MS03-026)by clicking Search on my PC,
entering C:WUTemp\com_microsoft.823980_XPSP2. (The
install wizard opened). I havent tried this with the
other 36 updates I had tried to install yet, I came to
this board hoping to find a simpler solution to the
problem. Hope this helps. If you find a better answer,
please email me!!! Thanks.
