Win 10 Clock

I have a new Win 10 PC. It now only displays the Time , not sure of
the location "name", in the lowe right corner of my diisplay.

I would like to see Both the Time as well as Today's date displayed. I
now have (only) the current time displayed.

Joe

BTW I did try to find a Google solution - but I am not sure I ever
posed the correct searh request

Maybe the tray is not wide enough ? I don't see anything in settings
to not or allow to show.

It's actually fully programmable.

https://www.howtogeek.com/194103/how...taskbar-clock/

"Change date time and number format - Control Panel"

Of course, knowing Win10, who knows which version(s)
support it.

Mine shows the time with the date right below the time. Just left of
the notification icon, to the right of the speaker icon.

Well, never noticed before but mine has a square between the hour and
minutes instead og the usual : ! that is strange, tried difference
time formats but it stays the same.

Any ideas on this one?

If you are not satisfied with the Windows 10 clock you may like to try
T=clock.
https://github.com/White-Tiger/T-Clock

It is not the easiest program to find information about, but it is easy
to install. It installs on the toolbar in place of the the windows
clock Once installed it is great.

In addition to being able to format the date any way you want, it has
several additional functions. The ones that I uses most are the copy
functions. You can set up the program such that when you click the
mouse, the current date is placed into the clipboard and and can be
paste any where you want it. I have mine set up so that a single right
click puts the date in the format nn/dd/yyyy into the clipboard. A
double right click put the Month day, year into the clipboard, and a
center click brings up a calendar.

With a three button mouse you can put a total of six date strings into
the clipboard.

Press the Windows and "I" keys simultaneously, click "Personalization",
"Taskbar", and turn "Use small taskbar buttons" off.

I second that recommendation. I also like Tclock a lot.

But Joe should note that there is also a program called Tclockex, and
he should be careful not to download that. Despite the similarity of
their names, they are two different programs. As far as I'm concerned,
Tclock is much better than Tclockex.

I should have Googled before I posted my Query about the square instead
of colon in time format.
As it turns out it was self inflicted by horsing around with system
fonts in Winaero. :-)
If it ain't broke Break it or severally bend it. :-)
All back to normal.

What you see in Win10 is normal when the Task Bar is configured for
'Small icons' icons. The day and date is available by hovering the
cursor over the time.

If one disables the small icon setting, the Task Bar resizes to
accommodate large icons and then shows the Time and Date(e.g. mm/dd/yy),
though it does not show the day because Windows always uses the 'Short
date' format to display the data.

To see the day, change the Task Bar settings to use large icons and
modify the Short date field in Region/Format Tab/Additional
Settings/Date tab
- change the short date data to a user configured long date format
e.g. ddd, d MMM, yyyy
***Note: The Region settings are available in the Control Panel.

A few different ways to accomplish seeing day, date and time the easiest
is to increase the size of the Task Bar from a single line to double.

Another route - Configure Taskbar for large icons by disabling 'small
icons' then change the Region settings for Date by modifying the Short
Date field to a different format.
e.g. dddd, d MMM, yyyy
dddd = day of week
d = day of month
MMM = 3 ltr month abbreviation
yyyy = four digit year
