Desktop appearance
 

I've been fooling with font sizes and appearance, and I see all the
flexibility. But one specific question at a time:

In the bottom toolbar at right I have about 10 tiny, unrecognizable
icons in two rows. They used to be bigger and all in one row. How do I
get that back? The menu didn't seem to offer toolbars....
