Firefox Password Retention

If I go to Amazon and change my password while in Firefox, Firefox does
not remember the change. How do I get Firefox to change the password or
delete so I can restart the password setup ?

Win XP Pro
FireFox 52.9.0 (32-bit)

In the Options dialogue, go to Saved Passwords under Security and
Privacy. You can expose passwords there as well as delete them.

If none of the logins and passwords are being remembered, check that
'Remember logins for sites' is ticked. If it's only Amazon, check what's
in 'Exceptions' (on the right hand side).

Save the password in the clip board, log off and back on, use the new
password and firefox will prompt you to save it.
