Videochat and XP firewall
 

Greetings,

The ports you opened with 127.0.0.1 is for file transfer and other features only -- it is not
for voice/video conversations. As well, 127.0.0.1 *is* your computer, which is why it's
taking on your computer's name.

Both Messenger and the Internet Connection Firewall support Universal Plug and Play (UPnP)
which automatically opens the ports required for voice/video conversations. In the window
where you add/remove open/forward ports (where you put the 127.0.0.1 entries), do you have
entries with 'msmsgs' or 'msnmsgr' listed? If so, 'Remove' each one, reboot and then see if
you can establish a voice/video conversation with the firewall on.
