Epson stylus photo 2100 print delay
When I send a print job to the printer there is a 3-5
min. delay before the job appears in the print Q and then printing proceeds as normal. I'm running XP Pro on a P4 2.26 with 1Gby RAM and plenty of vertual memory and free space on my hard drive. I have the latest drivers from Epson and have tried reinstalling several times, still no go. Please Help. |

Are you connecting via a USB port or an LPT?

USB2 port.
On futher investigation it appears (not completly sure) that the problem may be with the Epson Status Monitor 3 software. I've removed it (only have the printer driver installed), and the delay has gone. Although my system crashed when I powered the printer down once during testing this setup, (only once which I can't repeat). Not having the status monitor is a pain as there is no monitoring of cartridge ink levels and print errors. -----Original Message----- Are you connecting via a USB port or an LPT?
