I loaded a clean ISO of LinuxMint 17.3 KDE 64bit edition with the codecs. After the initial install, it was 144 updates behind; totaling (are you ready?) 246megs. :) That laptop is working quite nicely now and is ready to be delivered back to it's home. BFG It shipped with vista,32bit. Although the machine has a 64bit processor. HP ****s em again. ROFL! Alas, if it wasn't for big name companies, I wouldn't make nearly the monies. Praise be to big name companies and stupid consumers. Please, don't ever change. -- I would like to apologize for not having offended you yet. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly. |

Wowbagger is a character in one of Douglas Adams' series - I forget whether it was The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, or the Dirk Gently series - who is condemned to travel the universe (including temporally), insulting every being who has ever lived, in alphabetical order. (Ah, it was THHGTTG, because I remember him insulting Arthur Dent.) The above quote sounded very like him - might even be. I recently purchased one of the humour tshirts infact. "Despite the look on my face, you're still talking..." [g] G indeed! I just wish more T-shirts had chest pockets (without which I am lost), since so many of them do appeal to my sense of humour, but so few have such a pocket. (An exception being part of a pajama/mightwear set sold by one of our budget stores recently - which is the one case where I _don't_ need the pocket!) 2 -- J. P. Gilliver. It's been so damn long since I played that video game. [g] The movie didn't do it justice. I recently purchased one of the humour tshirts infact.
