Which messenger is the one for me
 

This is the only newsgroup I could find which is related to instant
messengers, I guess you guys should know best, my question is, Which instant
messenger is most like yahoo utilizing the webcam features? Windows, MSN,
AOL and ICQ only let you use the webcam with people in the buddies list, and
all except ICQ have got rid of their chat rooms in the UK, and in ICQ you
can't use your webcam. Yahoo is the only one thats worth using IMO to meet
people through chat rooms using webcam and sound. Are there any other
Instant messengers out there that do what I want and have active UK chat
rooms?

Yahoo chat and Paltalk are the last surviving popular Windows based chat
system.. to use a webcam in Paltalk, you have to pay a subscription.. AOL
have chat rooms but for AOL subscribers only..

To my knowledge AIM doesn't do webcam... may it does and I've just never
seen it.
For webcam MSN is v. good IMHO.
