MalwareVytes Free will not install.

PC fixed.

I went to the malwarebytes website and found a fixit tool.
It worked !

It made the latest version run just fine.

Unfortunately it did not tell me what it did so I cannot report on that.

Additionally, this may be related.

FireFox will download but I cannot use Firefox to get to the download
folder. Clicking on the Folder icon does nothing. I use Everything to
find the file...

What to do ?
On Win XP Pro. All updated.
Uninstalled and downloaded fresh but will not install.
