lpt1: deleted.
Then tried to set bowwow With "net use lpt1: \\otto\bowwow

Thank you for the prompt assistance. I don't think I succeeded in
deleting the printer mapping and the persistent connection however.
The server name is "otto". The old printer is "orwell"....

Thanks but I don't have a HP printer. I have a Brother MFC attached
wirelessly but it doesn't take Drive letters for its card reader ports,
as far as I know.
