Battery life in cordless keyboards and mice.
The batteries are *rated* at 600 mah, which seems reasonable for a battery
spec. But how much current the mouse actually needs and draws from the
battery is another story.

Diskwipe, then XP reinstall
Short answer (JMO) is that after you wipe the disk and install SP1, install
the SP3 update. That will bring you a good ways up to date, but if you want
more updates, you can go to the MS website...
