Multiple Problems

I have the same problem, Most services in my computer are disabled, including
device manager, system restore, network, I did run sfc /scannow and that did
not help. I am unable to find help also....

Not receiving faxes when single phone line connected to PC

This is the first fax software that we have had installed. I don't know
anyone with an external fax modem. I might just opt for the stand alone
since I just heard that Vista can be even more...

The fax does appear in the printers and faxes folder and no error messages.
The only error that I get is on the fax that is trying to send to our
computer... it says busy/no signal.

mouse settings aren't saved on reboot

I have adjusted my mouse setting for "motion speed" everytime I reboot. It
won't remember my setting. I am using a basic usb mouse, nothing fancy!!!

Thanks for the help, but it didn't work. I took the CD out and re-booted. I
received this error:

Boot from CD:
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

I tried changing c-mos and start-up preferences and that forces you to boot
off of the CD and re-install windows XP. How can you get XP to boot off of

Frozen computer

My computer crashed and I had to use the recovery disks to reboot it - it now
is frozen on the 'hp invent' page where it has F1 and F10 on the bottom. How
do I get it back to normal?
