Shrunken non-expandable windows xp boxes

Help. About 6 months ago, my Windows message boxes shrunk, cutting off info

Well, sorry to say that fix wasn't permanent. It lasted for about a month,
and now the boxes are back to small, and sfc.exe doesn't seem to fix it
anymore.
Any ideas??????????

If anyone is interested, I fixed this problem on my pc but running sfc.exe.
It didn't appear to do anything, but afterwards, my message boxes were back
to normal size.

Thanks for your info. I searched the group sites, and someone with a similar
problem reset his settings to default. Would you be chance know what the
default settings are? ...or where I can find...
