Applies to all windows versions.

Is there an app that will gather all pertinent drivers and copy to a
folder of choice ?

Seems like there should be since Macrium Reflect seems to be able to do...

SanDisk statement is WRONG.

As I said, if I do the disk check in a win 7 pc the write protect goes
away ! The USB flash drive is then fully functional... until the next time.

Read my post.
I'll bet if you put it in a Win 7 PC and do the error-check it will
un-write-protect it. You may need an adapter SD to USB if your PC does
not have an SD slot.

I have a Win XP pro PC and a Win 7 Pro PC.

Sometimes when using my SanDisk Ultra USB3 128G flash drive it says it
is write protected.
I do not do this !

Why and how does this happen ?

I cannot...
