When I left on holiday 2 weeks ago my laptop (samsung bought 2011
running windows 7 home premium 64 bit) worked perfectly.
When I booted today it got as far as the desktop screen and then silence...

The latest skype has fixed that: the user interface does close.

IE11 crashes
I run Windows7 home premium.
For a few weeks now IE11 (version 11.0.19 KB3049563) crashes randomly on
some websites, eg http://www.purplemath.com/modules/linprog.htm once
caused a crash but...
