finding items I've posted

Thanks Lem and LD55ZRA i using google search works with a little brute force
thrown in.

This sure goes a long way to support my request for MS to develop a better
way.

cant share CD/DVD "drives"

XP Pro in Windows Standard Server ntwk
Recently had to reset the IRPStackSize to 21 (virus software issue) and can
now see and share the HD's but althought I can "see" the CD\DVD drives I
can't...

can't access shared CD/DVD in Peer to Peer

Running XP-Pro SP3 - had to rebuild IRPStackSize = 18 (a user invited a virus
and had to do a hard cleanup) and can access C:\ drives but can't access
CD\DVD hardware in Peer to Peer...

ran chkdsk in XP PRO SP3

I recently ran chckdsk and now am being bombarded with problems including:

..dll not a valid windows image - replacing the file from a clean backup
did't work

error# 1722 problem with installer...

when i open a folder it defaults to search function - need to chan

need to change the default function when I open a folder from SEARCH to OPEN
- for all my folders. I've looked in some of the obvious places but the
answer eludes me.

any ideas?
