usb freezes laptop?
whatever is plugged in any of the usb ports freezes the system (even
a mobile phone )
It also get frozen during boot if you leave the usb device plugged

avoid skype upgrade?
unchecking upgrade in tools/options/advanced of skype 1.3 or 2.0.0.81
does not prevent immediately after login- a popup window offering
upgrade ,and if you cancel/refuse it ,skype closes!! I cant...
