Performance slow

Users feedback that workstations (Windows XP SP3) are processing very slow.
The hardware specifications of the workstations are Pentium 4, Dual-core &
Quad-core with 2GB RAM.

The workstation is a member of the Domain. Are you referring to log on to
Domain Administrator or Local Administrator account?
It is a network printer. I do not want to make use of the Domain...

Deep Freeze i did evaluate the product. It is pretty good but it is not user
friendly when i want to exclude antivirus folder from protection (in order
to permanently update virus definition file)...

Anyone aware of any product that does protect C: drive.
User can make changes to C: drive but after restart the PC, the changes made
earlier will revert back.

In the "Version" tab, "Language", it shows "English (United States)".
But in the "Folder "Options", "Advanced settings:" the language shows eg. as
