windows xp stored passwords not saved

I can put them in however on resatrt they are gone.
I checked the registry and pol ; they are set correctly.
What else controls this seting?

xp pro sp2 Intel p4 2.4 - processor stopped?

I've noticed after the pc is up and running, the service(processor driver),
service key name(processor), startup type(Automatic), status(stopped).

How can the processor drive be stopped?

winxp_pro and sp3 Remote Desktop switches

It appears that the /console switch no longer functions.

Dual boot, correct boot.ini

Have you tried using the bootcfg command in the Windows XP Recovery
Console to rebuild the boot.ini file?
No.

Where did you get those boot.ini files?
From D1 and D2.

Please explain "drives", do...

drive 1(D1) = C:
drive 2(D2) = D:
D1 is XP pro and D2 is W2K
I no longer have the dual boot option and I wonder which boot.ini file is
correct so I can have dual boot back.

The only error I see on teh work station is this:
The remote computer disconnected the session because of an error in the
licensing protocol.

So I follow the trail to the server BUT only ONE pc...

Xp w2k dual boot and hard drives

My pc has 2 drives after the upgrade( which has worked fine for 2 years)
Drive 1 has the dual boot option, C:\, and contains XPpro.
Drive 2 has 3 partitions and W2K.

My idea is to boot this on one...

My old laptop is w2k.
The new laptop is Xp Home.
I am going to load XP professional.

Should I:
1. Upgrade to w2k to xp_pro, move the drive over to the new laptop and repair.
