Can I update the security files in an older version of Firefox

Using Win98se with Kernel-Ex, I am able to use Firefox 3.x (3.6.28).
Anything above that dont run well.

With all the added security on websites (httpS), I am constantly getting
security errors....

I posted this days ago, as part of another thread, and never got any
reply.

I mentioned removing K-Meleon, which was my default browser for years,
but no longer works properly with the HTTPS...

I'm running Win98se. For many years my default browser was K-Meleon, and
I also had the highest (usable in 98) version of Firefox installed. (FF
version 3.x).

K-Meleon no longer works on almost any...

I've never done it, and probably never will. But what happens if a
person exceeds the drive letters A thru Z?

For example, I have 7 hard drive partitions. Plus CD drive. Plus A + B
(for floppies)....

Stopping SVI (System Volume Info) files from External drives

I'm running XP Pro SP3 on both a laptop and a desktop computers. I have
System completely turned off on both machines. I know that those pesky
SVI files can not be eliminated on permanent hard drives...
