Thank you for your help! But, unluckily, I already bypassed the pale
blue "welcome" screen by setting up an autologon user.

Nonetheless, there's still an annoyance: a dialog window which...

Hiding "Applying personal settings" window

Hi,
I am trying to boot into a minimal XP environment with no taskbar,
no boot logo etc. - I've been able to strip windows of everything but
that window that says "applying personal settings"...
