I had a problem last October, I think? but it's been working fine. In my
case, removing Windows PowerShell fixed it. Others were using Hosts.MVP
that was causing it. Still others have not found...

OK to delete old ,net framework?
New versions of .NET Framework do not supersede older versions. I.E., you
may have a program that requires V:2 SP2, but it won't run on any other
version. So, the short answer is no.

But that is a browser toolbar, not an XP or Win7 toolbar. Hence, our
confusion.
FYI: IE8 is compatible with XP and Vista as well as Win7.
