Has anyone else had dificult getting into safe mode, in W8?

The PCs I'm testing boot up soooo fast that, no matter how much I hit
F8, or SHIFT+F8, I can 't get into safe mode...

How about a specific path to these files? I'm guessing either in \Windows or
\Program Files (or \Program Files (x86)

The files are in program files\softwarename
