XP cannot support more than one single scanner. You appear to have
installed TWO.... one standalone and one with the All in One printer.

Uninstall one of them.

Depending on how many bad sectors, it's better to replace the secondary hard
drive than just to reformat it.

The only real way to know is to download and install the Intel CPU
Identifier and install/run it and it will tell you if virtualization is
supported. I guess you could take a CD into the store...

strange color problem as limited user

Black ink is nearly always supplemented by using color ink to make it appear
'blacker'. Check the blank ink cartridge and ensure it's got enough ink in
it. Replace it if necessary.

Try the Vista drivers, there's no reason (other than HP deciding to be
stupid) that they shouldn't work in Win7...
