1.6Ghz seems a bit slow these days.

but it will probably appear speedy depending on how much extra garbage is loaded on it by manufacturer.

Can both XP and W7 be run on the same computer?

why not upgrade to one of the top 2-3 version of W7 and get the xp virtualization manager for free and run xp in it.

2 questions - where to post for windows 7 and about slow performance of windows 7.

not normal behavior at all.

possible some part of the program waas still running and the uninstall was having problems.

not unusual.

but it usually notifies you.

why not just do the simple thing and check Task Manager to see what is using the cpu cycles.
