Forgot to mention the error code when I have this problem: error code
80072F8F. This apparently refers to a time/date difference, but I checked
this and also syncronized with the NIST server. So...

I have a CD-ROM device that won't read or play disks, and I'm trying to run
Microsoft Fixit to get some diagnosing help. But when I try to run Fixit I

CD-ROM device works in DOS, recognized in WinXP, but won't read or play disks

I checked under Explorer Bar, Folders. There's a list of the
drives/partitions and Z: is listed as "CD Drive". If I right click on that
folder and check it's properties/Hardware there is a list of...

how to move lower toolbar icons to right side

I'd like to move the desktop icon, from the lower toolbar (left side) over
to the right side, to conform with it's location in Win2000. I haven't been

moving lower toolbar icons to right side

The WinXP lower tool bar has the IE, OE, and Desktop icons on the left side.
I'd like to have the Desktop icon on the right side, like I do in Win2000.
Is there a way to do this...I tried dragging...

how to stop low disk space warnings

Seems like every couple of minutes this stupid baloon opens up telling me
I'm low on disk space on drive X. Is there a way to stop these warnings?

Reinstall Windows XP problem!, Where are the harddrives???

I suggest you download a copy of Hiren's CD, which is full of file manager and hard drive testing programs, partitioning
programs, etc...It will boot up in Dos and run any of the many programs it...

Because the computer kept locking up I reinstalled XP. I also only installed one of the extra drivers, the one for the
built-in Ethernet card. The normal speed is back, but it has locked up a few...

I have hibernation enabled in Power Options, but there is no hibernation choice when I
want to shut down the computer. I'm using Windows XP corp version.

Any suggestions for fixing this problem?
