Let me ask this a different way...will this work?

create two 100-gig partitions on the 250-gig drive.

run ntbackup to backup my c: contents and e: contents to one of the
partitions on the 250-gig...

Thanks for the quick reply. This is an older Plustek scanner and I don't
expect the manufacturer will provide any updates for it. And yes, the
default user account locally has Admin rights, so you...
