can't add windows component

OS windows XP SP3
When trying to add windows components through the control panel or with the
windows CD, I receive the following message... "SETUP WAS UNABLE TO OPEN
INFORMATION FILE...

I receive this prompt that there is a patchedSFC_os.dll from my McAfee
program. I tried to delete the file, but can not remove it. I searched the
windows sites, but have not been able to find out...

missing power schemes

I had the same power scheme problem. I do not know what caused the problem,
but I followed the instructions and everything is back the way it was. Thank

searching network folders

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have a user with the same problem.
Verified path is correct on network, not local drive, but can't find anything
when it searches.
