the cd is the hp cd provided
with the printer and contains
the drivers.

however, updated hp drivers
can also be downloaded from
the hp website and saved to
a folder and installed when
ready.

sounds like the
ntfs crashed.

there are utilities
that restore/repair
the ntfs.

unfortunately, none
are provided via the
windows cd.
