XP: No DNS Setting in IPCONFIG
John: I've been informed by my lab tech that ALL lab PCs in question are
working at 100% Internet Connectivity. DNS resolves. I have done nothing to

....oh and I must add that the OS firewall is turned off and we're using
Symantec Endpoint Protection v11.

I did this procedure before and it didn't fix anything. It created a new
Repository folder but I still have the same problem with the Security Center
not recognizing Live OneCare.

After intalling Live OneCare the Security Center doesn't detect a firewall or
antivirus installed. Isn't this Live OneCare compatible with Windows XP
Security Center??

Names in Folder
After re-installing Windows XP all the names of the files have their
extensions attached (e.g. .xls, .doc, .jpg).
I'd like to have them without but cannot find anything in the Folder view...

Downloaded font
They have the ending .ttf and .TTF but I see, that the icons are not like the
other fontfiles, the look like a page from windows with many icons

Downloaded font
The menu "Install Fonts" is in the Fonts Folder, allright, but I canot
copy/paste the downloaded font-files in there, nor can I look for them in the
List of Fonts

Downloaded font
I downloaded 2 new fonts (now stored on desktop) but I canot copy them into
the font folder: the paste command is not active. Any hints? Thank you
