if you are doing an upgrade instead of clean install it can take a while.

some people report 6-8 hours for the upgrade to complete.

MS was forced because of legal reasons to remove the mail program and a couple of others.

they are now available under the LIVE banner.
WindowsLiveMail replaces OE.

XP ISO for virtual machine to enable XP boot on current partition.

virtual box just gives the option of running multiple OS's on the same computer.
each OS you chose to run has to be installed separately into virtual box.

another choice is to use software to create...

apparently it only effects a very few computers that are running some particular program[s].
seems the authors thought to code against ms recommendations. when ms made a change...

Windows 7 64 randomly shuts off, black screen but power on

recent case of an update causing bsod.
rogue program installed that failed to follow ms recommendations on proper programming techniques.

might try a restore back to before thgis started...

using Internet Properties check around the middle of the first screen for info about deleting and the settings button there.
you will find the address of the temp folder .

you should buy it with the desired OS pre-installed.
this insures that all the hardware drivers work correctly.
this you can not be SURE of with an upgrade.

and STAY AWAY from the HOME version.
