Battery life in cordless keyboards and mice.

The batteries are *rated* at 600 mah, which seems reasonable for a battery
spec. But how much current the mouse actually needs and draws from the
battery is another story.

The simplest solution might be to use System Restore back to a point prior

Diskwipe, then XP reinstall

Short answer (JMO) is that after you wipe the disk and install SP1, install
the SP3 update. That will bring you a good ways up to date, but if you want
more updates, you can go to the MS website...

1 GB of RAM and a 1.6 GHz computer is MORE than ample (and not all that old,
