But he has an NTSC miniDV tape and a PAL digital camcorder... they are
incompatible.

xp default printer keeps changing.

There is not necessarily anything you can do about this, some manufacturers
insist that their printer be the default.

If both PCs are already on a network, then just set up the printer for
sharing.

Lexmark Z11 not working

Presumably the new motherboard does have a parallel port. Is it enabled in
the BIOS? If it's not enabled or not working correctly, XP will never see
the printer.

Limited User Account Printing

In printer properties, advanced, set it to print directly to the printer
instead of using the spooler. It's a known problem with Norton products.

Non-default driver returns

It's probably built into the drivers for the Brother printer and there's
nothing you can do if that is the case.

Pioneer dvr108 usb drive problem

Could be that the DVD laser has failed. The drive has two, one for the CD
side and one for the DVD side.
