Array of icons on Desktop

I use Windows XP and my Desktop icons stay in their place.

My setting is,

Right click
Arrange icons
Align to grid.

The crap search feature of XP

A very good search app is Agent Ransack. It'll find MS Publisher files using
a word or phrase; XP search fails.
