HP Photosmart Premium C309a won't install
This printer had been installed by one of our Computer Club members using
the USB connection. Then he had difficulty connecting to it wirelessly from
his laptop and netbook.

Windows xP cleanup (slow running)
A newer laptop for under $300 will soon be slower than your computer. If you
are going to spring for a new one, get something that brings a bit of

Cannot connect to the internet...
WinXP MCE. 2GB RAM. Clean of viruses. Running Microsoft Security Essentials.
Connected through a switch to a router, to a cable modem.
This club member's computer will not connect to the internet....

When it starts up, there is no function on the desktop, there is a message
regarding Active Desktop Recovery with a button to restore....

I would have already done what you have suggested. How does one start

I suggest that you use the folders under My Documents for your documents.
