Slow update scan - resolved

I was attempting to update a W7x64 machine which had not been updated in a while. The update scan was
painfully slow.

Long story short, I was able to resolve the slow scan problem by separately...

If you can't build a leak proof submarine, you might as well enclose it inside a sort-of leak proof container.
Hard to get in and out of the sub and it would be difficult to navigate, but at least...
