To fix this error 0x80248011. Try the following in the command prompt.:

Click on Start - run - type command "cmd" (without the quotes) and
command prompt will appear.
After you are in command prompt type the following commands.

1) net stop wuauserv
2) cd /d %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
3) rd /s DataStore
4) net start wuauserv

Then try to run windows update.

This started after the last automatic update, and I get an error when I go
to the windows update site.

I have cleared the cache, internet files, history in IE and in FF.

Since the error started on Tuesday, my computer is also taking a long time
to shut down and has restarted a few times. I am not sure if this is related,
but it just recently started, and I can only guess that something is corrupt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
