Do you have USB Device Legacy Support enabled in your BIOS or something
similar? This should support USB devices when Posting.

this drive to make it a bootable drive. When I change CMOS to boot from

local c drive in the box. I want to format the external usb drive and make
it bootable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to put
