I don't think it's actually working because there is no GMIC menu.

My folders on Gimp 2.4.7 definitely show GMIC "plaforms".
File -- Preferences -- Folders -- Plug-Ins --
C:\thepathto\gmic_gimp_qt\platforms
But there still is no menu that says "GMIC".

Maybe I should load the latest Gimp as mine is different.

There is a menu for
Filters -- Artistic -- Clothify
Filters -- Artistic -- Oilify
Filters -- Artistic -- Apply Canvas
All of which work.
There is no "Brushify" though.

I guess I don't need GMIC because Clothify and Apply Canvas are defaults.
I don't know why the GMIC menu won't show up though.
