Not exactly that lean. If Microsoft were serious, they should make
sure that the operating system take no more than 2GB installed. I used
to run Windows 95 on a 500MB hard disk with space left over for games
and applications yet could complete most of the basic tasks I complete
today.

I used to run Newdos/80 on a 5 MB hard drive with plenty of
room left for games and programs!
