Is Norton Internet Security 2010 enough?
NIS is junk. But then, a lot of antivirus software falls into this category.
A general rule is that the more silly gimmicks (safe surf, firewalls,
phishing detectors etc) it installs the more likely it is to be a placebo
exercise than genuine security.
Malwarebytes is one of the better products these days.
Best way to keep your computer secure is:~
Install and use a better browser than IE.
Run as a limited user, or use DropMyRights/StripMyRights to run your browser.
Preferably, likewise for email.
Install only those browser plugins you actually need, and keep them updated.
Delete any preinstalled crapware or plugins which might be a security issue.
Use a NAT router for broadband, rather than a USB modem.

Hi,
I have just installed NIS 2010 on my XP box. I also have Spybot Search and
Destroy/Adaware/Malwarebytes installed as well. Is this overkill or is NIS
2010 enough to do the job of protecting my pc from spyware/adware/malware?
