Default Slow keyboard response

Wireless devices can be sensitive to their surroundings. For example, if the
receiver is placed too close to the system box or monitor or too close to a
metal surface it can lose track of the keyboard or mouse. Or maybe some
tchotkah on your desk is getting in the way of the signal. You might try
experimenting by moving the receiver around.

Sorry if I'm in the wrong forum - don't know where else this might fit.

I'm
running XP SP2 with 512KB of memory. My problem is that several times per

day
I see a 3-7 second lag or dropouts between typing and the appearance of

text
in Office and other applications. No unknown processes are running in the
Task Manager window. I failed finding new MS Wireless drivers for my MS
wireless keyboard. I have run my spyware and adware cleaners (McCafee and
Spyware Doctor) but my system still randomly exhibits this behavior. Hope
that I have given enought info and if I'm in the wrong forum someone will
point me in the right direction. Any ideas would be appreciated.
