Default Warnings about Java 7 Update 10?

I saw warning messages about updating Java to Java 7 Update
11.

I have Windows xp mce on a Dell c521 desktop. The Add or
Remove Programs page lists the following:

Java 7 Update 11
Java(TM) 6 Updates 18, 20, 22, and 37

Do I need all that Java stuff? Should I remove everything
except Java 7 Update 11. Will I lose anything by removing
the other Java 6 stuff?

Unless you have some severely ancient apps that demand the availability
of an older version of Java, there is no reason to have more than one
version install. In the Add/Programs applet in Control Panel, uninstall
all versions of Java run-time and install just the latest one.

If you have no local apps that require Java and if you do not visit
sites that use it to deliver Java applets to your web browser then an
installation of Java is sitting idle and wasting disk space. If you
don't actually need Java then uninstall it.

What apps did you install or what sites do you visit that require Java?
