Download the latest Opera browser, In my own opinion, it is a better browser
than most I have seen, since download of files are streamlined and comes w/a
free pop-up blocker you can set yourself, though it is not friendly w/sites
tailor made to IE, which is a small price to pay for free stuff.

Mozilla and Netscape also has built in pop-up blockers aswell... and I
believe it may have the same problems plauging Opera in terms of sites that
are tailor made for IE.

Also download the free firewall software from ZoneLabs, I find this better
and resource friendly than most firewall programs I have used in which I
have to pay for.
