Frustrated Like Totally - With Flash Drives !

I did a lot of searching and this is what I found.
Win XP PC is UB2
All flash (pen) drives here.
A 128G USB3 works just fine there.
An identical USB3 128G drive will not register.
In order to allow the first 128 USB3 drive to work I had to unplug one
of the other drives I had plugged in.
Seems that I hit the wall on the number of USB drives.
I had two plugged in and was adding a third.
The 32G flash drive was read only and I could not get it to change that
in the Win XP Pro pc.
I plugged it into a Win 7 Pro PC and ran a
Properties/Tools/Error-Checking Check Now and the read only was
automatically removed. Works now in the Win XP Pro PC just fine.
What a pain !
As long as at least one stick works at a time,
then you can get stuff done.
While it could be a power issue, what are the
odds of that happening (that it's actually a
power overload) ? I've never had any trouble in
that regard with my USB stuff.
