It sounds like you're saying the quality control
and standards are just not there for sticks.

I have had sticks fail on me. I do not know that the QC is at
fault; we expose sticks to more. I was packing my sticks in my
pocket. Dirt or conductive stuff might have gotten to them. I had
better results when I kept the stick in a child-proof pill bottle.
