Default DSL software installation problems on XP Pross, SP2

There is NO software needed for DSL -- NONE !

If you use PPPoE for DSL, WinXP has a PPPoE client. Even better, get a Cable/DSL Router
such as the Linksys BEFSR41 and it, not the PC, will make the PPPoE connection PLUS it will
act as a simplistic FireWall or , based upon the model, a full FireWall. There are many
more benefits to using the Router as well.

| I tried to install a Bell South DSL system and had problems. Called Bell
| South Tech support. After 2 hours on the phone, Bell South said that the
| problem was with the SP2 and I should talk to MS support.
|
| My question is there a work around patch for the SP2/DSL software?
