Default O.T. FF browser issue?

I still think it's odd that my Microsoft 4000
doesn't function with the F keys but the
no-name keyboard does?

I think it's odd too, but I don't have any
hardware ideas to contribute to fix it. I don't
know why the output of that keyboard doesn't work.
There are supposed to be defacto standards for this.

And it does also raise the question, that if the
4000 doesn't work, if you drove to the computer
store and bought another keyboard, what are the odds
that one would work any better ? I can't even
begin to guess what the 8500 expects for a keyboard.

You can run keyboards in parallel. If you did find
a keyboard with operational F keys, you could use
that keyboard only for the F key function, then use
your more comfortable 4000 for the rest of your
keyboard input. You can use two or more mice
and two or more keyboards at the same time on
a computer. I've even used an Apple ADB keyboard
on my PC, by using a Griffen ADB to USB adapter,
so a whole lot of stuff will work, and work in
parallel. Only the "CD eject" key doesn't work
on the Apple keyboard.
